Friedrich von Flotow (1812-1883) was a German composer. He is chiefly remembered for his opera Martha, which was popular at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th, but which is now rarely performed.

Marta's Namesake - Town
Colombia's oldest town offers sea, sand, sun, rum and a faded colonial feel. Almost 500 years ago, Santa Marta was the first Colombian town founded by the Spaniards.
